What Will You Need To Study?

The equipment and resources you require may differ dependent on the level and subject that you study.

Computer & Software

All BPA Professional Diploma and Professional Degree courses require access to a computer with an active internet connection in order to use the interactive learning resources on the Blue Pillar Online (BPO).


NOTE : We do not recommend using an Apple or Mac laptop for the Interior Design program because the Autodesk software we use is not compatible with Apple computers. To ensure you can run all the necessary software smoothly, it’s best to use a Windows laptop or computer.

Design Equipment & Materials

In addition to your online study and use of computer software, students may/will also be required to complete work by hand. Please see below a list of recommended design equipment, materials and resources  for each BPA course subject.

Other Resources

3D Modelling Library:

• A comprehensive collection of 3D models for various interior design projects.

AutoCAD Library:

• Access to a library of AutoCAD drawings and templates for reference and practice.

International Design Magazines:

• Subscription or access to leading design magazines for inspiration and industry trends.

E-Books:

• A selection of e-books covering various topics in interior design, architecture, and design theory.

Feng Shui Books:

• Resources focused on the principles of Feng Shui to enhance design projects.

Furniture Books:

• Books featuring furniture design, styles, and history to inform design decisions.

DISC Test:

• A personality assessment tool to help students understand their communication styles and improve teamwork.

NOTE: Thanks to our partnership with UTMSPACE, all BPA students have full access to UTMSPACE library services and any other UTM libraries under the UTM access scheme, either in person or online.
