Atmospheric Realms: Designing Experiences from Abyss to Oasis

“Atmospheric Realms” is a collection of spatial explorations that prioritize the emotional and sensory journey of the user. This portfolio showcases a transition between contrasting environments—moving from the deep-sea mystery of the Abyss to the highly functional, nature-inspired Oasis.

By leveraging biomorphic forms, parametric modeling, and advanced lighting strategies, each project seeks to solve complex spatial problems while maintaining a distinct narrative soul.

Core Design Pillars:

  • The Narrative Journey: Projects like the ORCA Oceanarium utilize a “From Shore to the Abyss” narrative to guide visitors through shifting light levels and zones, turning a commercial space into an immersive story.

  • Technological Biophilia: In DIGIREALM, the “Oasis” concept is realized by merging digital information hubs with “Working Friendly Ecosystems,” using centered atriums and green plants to provide natural sunlight and clean air.

  • The Perfect Imperfection: My residential work, such as the MIDCENT Apartment and NEO JAPANDI House, embraces “controlled chaos.” These spaces solve issues of “Museum Fatigue” and “Inefficient Space Utilization” by balancing bold pops of color with warm, organic textures.

  • Technical Precision: Every realm is supported by technical rigor, including the use of Barrisol lighting panels for soft illumination and asymmetrical zoning to maximize circulation in compact footprints.

Design Aim: To create a “Visually Comforting” environment that bridges the gap between high-tech functionality and the timeless calm of the natural world.
